An advocate for classical music performance, Erin Whittington began her musical journey on the violin at a young age, later transitioning to the double bass. Throughout her blossoming bass career she has enjoyed performing with the University of Georgia Symphony Orchestra, University of Georgia Wind Ensemble, the Columbus Ballet, and LaGrange Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, she has performed pit work with the Auburn University Theatre program. She also provides upright bass and electric bass lessons, and loves helping growing bassists develop their technique and love for music. 

In 2020, Erin was the first recipient of the Becky Roberts Memorial Double Bass Scholarship Fund through the Hugh Hodgson School of Music. She currently resides in Athens where she is finishing her BM in Bass Performance at the University of Georgia under the instruction of Milton Masciadri, where she also participates in the jazz program. Afterwards plans to pursue a masters degree in Music Therapy.
